Drowned in Sound

Both a likely contender for the finest indie rock record of the year, then, and a breathtakingly chaotic venture far beyond that genre’s remit.

If I Am Very Far frustrates with its lack of clear intentions, it also fascinates for the same reason.

I Am Very Far manages to put Sheff's lyrics and the band's music on equal footing.

Groovy. Absolutely fucking groovy. Some serious "I fucking own this bitch" music and I recommend it to anyone with ears. "Piratess" is such a meticulously crafted masterpiece that its a wonder why it isn't #1 on every Billboard Top 40 from now to the end of time. Struggling to even adequately express my love for this album. Just. Just fucking listen to it.
