I really, genuinly love 'I Was Named After You'. It will be making it onto mixtapes for the rest of the year. The rest of the album doesn't quite catch up to it. Saying that, her voice is truly astonishing and the songwriting is solid throughout the album. I would struggle to name the song solely from the instrument due to a blatant lack of experimentation and variety in that aspect, still this album is one i can very much see myself returning to when i need to sit back and relax.

Her unique undulating voice is still the feminine folk music ideal.

The Irish folk singer’s third album fills out her sound to incorporate elements of jazz, country rock, slowcore, and psychedelia.

Brigid Mae Power’s music never quite settles on solid ground. The Irish singer-songwriter flits between past and present; between traditional and modern forms; between the heaven in her voice and the earthbound epiphanies of her words. Her last album was called The Two Worlds. I’d say she inhabits a few more than that.

Lovely voice and pretty solid songwriting. One of the nicer folk albums I've heard recently but very typical for this kind of gentle woodsy psych folk.
