Julian sounds absolutely amazing. This is probably my favorite single they’ve put out this year. The chorus melody is sooo catchy and the instrumental and vocal structure kind of reminds me of The Smiths mixed with more traditional new wave mixed with some good ole Strokes garage guitar licks.

There’s something about this song that just clicked! I’d usually turn down the new wave shit on “Comedown Machine”, but it feels like they incorporated it exceptionally well here!

Not a bad tune, but definitely the weakest of the 3.

The third single from The Strokes' upcoming album The New Abnormal is an electrifying new-wave track and contrary to the rather lukewarm reviews seems as if the new LP is going to show Casablancas and Co. put out their best effort since Room On Fire.
