Edit: It has many conflicted feelings from me. It is not as good as Trench, but it is a charity single... It is corny... but down to earth, cute and wholesome. not an amazing song, but decent

All jokes aside this new Twenty One Pilots single is a pretty mid pop song. The production has been fantastic and super crisp on their stuff ever since Trench and that trend seems to be continuing. The hook is extremely catchy, even though for the most part it doesn’t really seem to jump out at you or wow you in any way.

I think this is a decent, catchy tune. Of course it's not nearly to the standard that Trench set, but I don't think it was meant to be as such. It's definitely a standalone thing that was put together during COVID-19. The sound also takes a bit of adjusting to, I guess, but I do like the instrumentation and the lyrics, relating to the pandemic, are solid ("Would you be my little quarantine?" is a little bit of a discomforting line for me, though). In all fairness, Level of Concern is still a quantum leap from what Twenty One Pilots were doing before Trench, but after being blown away by that LP nearly two years ago, I was hoping for something in a similarly abstract vein. Of course, a standalone single like this isn't gonna be as mindblowing as a full album, but you get the picture.
