despite starting off great with aulon raid, it gets boring from that point on
I've always really loved Full Force Galesburg and all the stuff prior, so I love hearing them lofi just giving us some new songs focused on writing not composition. Though, I could've sworn I'd heard that first song before.
All hail the mysterious gap!

This will feel like the album that represents the quarantine the most, at least in regards to its production. Darnielle getting back to his boombox roots for his first truly lo-fi experience since 2002's All Hail West Texas. The Goats since that time have been one of my absolute favorite bands, but I don't mind the detour. It’s a simple project really, it is, and yet it does something special. It’s just John Darnielle, his guitar, and his old boom box. It’s very minimal, as these three elements are the only elements and they all work together to create a personal experience, and one that is likely familiar for Mountain Goats fans.
