Effortlessly eclectic and energetic modern rhythmic jazz

Standouts: Signal In The Noise, F Maj Pixie, To The Nth, Atomised, Open, Kora, Totem

It's pretty - for a lot of people this will be dismissed as bloodless plinky plonk, but as far as 'busy' background music goes it sounds effortless/natural.

jesus christ these fellas are talented. the playing from everyone is so cluttered yet calculated and smooth, this is sound control and dynamics at their finest.
This one has really grown on me of late. I can’t stop moving and grooving
GoGo Penguin are a simple band, but it's through this simplicity that creativity is born

My introduction to the band came with their sophomore release v2.0 and its nomination for the 2014 Mercury Prize, an album that could be described in numerous similar ways to the record we're discussing today. Simple, almost to a fault, yet fantastically melodic with not a single moment wasted and some of the most immaculate production i'd heard all year.
