While Steve Reich developed a rhythmic style of minimalism centered around mostly percussion, Glass takes Reich's ideas and uses them to create something much more melodic, personal and soothing. While easier to consume than Reich's work, it isn't at all less powerful nor less genius. Very worthwhile.
