[Album of the Day Challenge: Day 1]

I haven't checked out WOHO's other works, but I've heard plenty of good things about them. But, as the first full album I'm listened to from them, I enjoyed "Withering (Or, Songs of Yore)" quite a bit! It follows a very similar framework to the likes of Car Seat Headrest, with its lo-fi production being backed up with some interesting lyrical content. WOHO is a band I've been following around for awhile through all their different "sounds." Those sounds being "Boring Car Seat Headrest" to sad, to sadder, to saddest. I'm just gonna say it: this is my favorite WOHO project. That might be surprising to some, since I'm not exactly a folkhead, but this project is phenomenal. Almost every track is beautiful, emotional, and hard-hitting in one way or another (especially the more grandly composed, higher tempo, or dreamiest tracks). It also doesn't run into the same problems many folk albums do where most of the tracks feel generic or unyielding bland.
