In an age where most of today’s contemporary figures are content to settle for churning out soulless bops engineered for the streaming slog, Jepsen demonstrates with Dedicated Side B that the art of genuine songcraft is very much alive and well in the pop genre.
That songs this appealing were left off of Dedicated reaffirms the creative streak Jepsen was on when she made the album, and Dedicated Side B is just as heartwarming, fun, and catchy -- in other words, more of what Carly Rae Jepsen fans have come to know and love.
Although Dedicated might be a more comprehensive piece of work as a whole, Side B is so impressively strong that it could easily be a continuation of the album (its B-side, even).
Dedicated Side B is up to the standard of its older sister.
With big hooks and breathless romance galore, Carly’s leftovers from last year’s Dedicated show off her range, even when the songs start to lose their spark.
Dedicated Side B isn’t full of as many hidden gems as its B-side predecessor was, but it still shines nearly as brightly as Dedicated has, especially among the gloom of COVID-19-induced quarantining.
Side B is a little flatter than the first Dedicated, but I don’t think it was a bad decision to release more of the 200+ songs she reportedly wrote for the album. If you like Carly Rae Jepsen, you’ll like it.
I just don't care, call her miss overrated, I call her miss perfection.
Carly Rae Jepsen is just on ANOTHER level of music, she became almost a magician, a sorcerer of fantastic pop music.
And it KILLS me HOW FUCKING MUCH she's not getting the mainstream attention that she fucking deserves!!!!!!
It's literally a crime. Still, I guess the real artists out there are never gonna get what they should, but nonetheless I love her to death, one of my fav musicians of all time.

I loved this collection of B-sides from Carly Rae Jepsen. I always anticipate her releases because I think the's the most consistently good artist I follow, and this was no exception. Even though some are very clearly Dedicated analogues "Window" to "Want You In My Room," "Solo" for "Party for One," there are some real gems here.

One of My favs albums of 2020, the sounds is amazing, but compared to Dedicated it sounds weak, but a great pop album from one of the best artist of the century
this is a pretty decent follow-up to Dedicated, expanding the sonic landscapes of the previous album into nu-disco territories. unfortunately, some songs here depart from the tried-and-tested formula of unforgettable earworms, especially Heartbeat.
with that said though, Summer Love should've been a single, it deserves the critical acclaim and high chart positions it should've been receiving.
