I was never really a Deadhead because they have SUCH a cultivated following and while I get it I could never personally love them although I certainly dig their sound. However, this concert is the embodiment of the Grateful Dead experience. It sounds very refined and cleaned, Jerry has such a crystal clear voice, and overall it just sounds like a legendary set. Great set list, great sound quality, and the band is firing on all cylinders. Excellent performances from pretty much every member, all playing off of one another amazingly. Some of the best improvisational jams I've ever had the pleasure to hear. If there was one concert I would go back in time to see in-person, it's this one.
