musicOMH

While it's not a classic album, Ukulele Songs is a lively and enjoyable LP that easily warms the cockles.

PopMatters

Ukulele Songs shows us a Vedder with nothing to hide behind.

No Ripcord

Ukulele Songs serves as another reminder of what Vedder remains capable of.

Pitchfork

Ukulele Songs is so determinedly twee and relentlessly self-effacing that it can feel like watching a grown man attempting to morph into a baby koala before your eyes.

50
Consequence of Sound

With such little variety, Ukulele Songs becomes a chore to sit through.

The debut solo album from Eddie Vedder sees him moving away from his grunge roots and towards a unique folk album made from his voice and a ukulele. Your enjoyment of this album is going to come down to whether you like Vedder's voice and way of singing, I'm quite a big Pearl Jam fan so this was quite a nice listen however the limited amount of instrumentation did hinder my enjoyment of this project as 16 Ukulele songs back to back can get a bit dull.
