Styles P has always had the same problem as his LOX colleague Jadakiss: there is no doubt about his ability as an emcee, but he never really succeeded in translating his skill into a memorable album. Styles David: Ghost Your Enthusiasm is not that album either. It's not bad at all, but it doesn't leave an impression. Thankfully he refrained from infesting this album with corny R&B choruses, something both he and Jadakiss usually spoil their own albums with, but overall the album still lacks ... read more
This is a cool album. I enjoyed it overall. As I mentioned before, I was initially quite worried because this thing gets off to a false start, but he managed to find his footing once he got warmed up. If you’ve been listening to Styles P for the past few years you pretty much know what to expect. He’s not throwing any curveballs, unless you count those terrible skits. Harder shit than styles has come with in a few releases. His music's always consistently enjoyable, but he's on a more underground sound here with bars and slick production, not focusing on lame hooks with singers, etc. (though his homies The Whispers do come through on one cut). The setlist as a whole is top notch, there isn't even remotely a weak song on here lyrically or production wise.
Its decent, like every other Styles project. Nothing special. Good tracks and bad tracks.
