NO DREAM is a little less brilliant than his previous efforts in my opinion, but all this raw energy and his shattering messages make this new album a real joy.

Jeff Rosenstock is a passionate artist who still has a gift for hiding behind the power pop/punk aesthetics of a demanding and deeply human music. This strength that allows him to perfectly manage the balance between dynamism, emotion and writing systematically allows him to offer this kind of fascinating album that stands the test of ... read more

Hey Jeff... You okay? You need a hug or something?

Anyways, Jeff Rosenstock surprised us all with a brand new studio album that didn't even come out on a Friday, but after listening to this album after a couple a time, I can say it was a fantastic surprise!

NO DREAM is an explosive, wild, rebellious, yet very emotional experience during this whole quarantine time. while not all of it is about Coronavirus, there are certainly lines that reference it, or at least the being apart part, the ... read more

Wow what a pleasant surprise to brighten up an otherwise uneventful Wednesday, thanks Jeff!

'NO DREAM' sees Jeff Rosenstock up to his usual shenanigans: making exhilarating, fun and energetic Pop-Punk/Power Pop with lyrics that are heartfelt and ooze pure passion and overall energy and compositions that are sure to have your heart racing and your head banging, except this time the energy and raw intensity of his music is turned up to 11.

If I went back a decade ago and told a Bomb the Music Industry! fan that Jeff Rosenstock would have a successful solo career, they wouldn't be surprised, they'd just say that it was kickass. If I then told them that most people didn't even listen to Bomb the Music Industry! and only knew about his solo career, they still wouldn't be surprised, but they would say that it certainly wasn't kickass.

BtMI! was never the type of act that in my mind would have found any kind of mainstream appeal, but ... read more

Good

Jeff Rosenstock is an artist I haven't had the chance to listen to yet, but after seeing his large following on the site, I felt the need to check this one out.

Although it may not be the best place to start in his discography, Jeff Rosenstock's "NO DREAM" is a catchy and energetic record released in a time of juxtaposition. Its subject matter is honest and sad as well, adding to that theme of mystery and unknowing. I will definitely be adding his discography to my list of ... read more

NR
Before emo: "the male American accent is so much cooler than my own english brogue"

After emo: "I'd cut off my own balls if I had a 'Weezer'ish'/'rom com dweeb' American accent"

It's a shame because the music and tunes are decent a lot of the time...but that accent is OFFENSIVELY emo bratty.

admittedly, i've had a hard time getting into jeff rosenstock's music in the past, but with no dream, i get it. i finally
get it. there's so much energy, so much passion, so much of EVERYTHING, and to top it all off, there's not a bad song on the album.

How is it that the most mature progression of Jeff's songwriting resulted in a step back style wise? This is some of the rawest, punkiest shit that Rosenstock's put out in his solo career since I Look Like Shit, in a way that really highlights the complexities and nuance of his GREAT songwriting. There are so many little surprises across this album that completely derailed my expectations. Left turns within the songs themselves, but also in the pacing of the album (seriously, who wasn't shocked ... read more

good ~ gonna be honest, this is the first jeff rosenstock project i've ever listened too, and i feel that i should listen to him considering that he's somewhat of an underground pop punk icon. i will say that going after capitalism is pretty edgy and brave of mr. rosenstock here. i do wish that that messaging had been delivered in a less obvious way cuz he was basically just saying it instead of alluding to it. but for the most part, this album is super fun and energetic and loud and enjoyable ... read more

Jeff Rosenstock's "NO DREAM" is a profoundly relatable/sad album full of anthems for the defeated and depressed.

He is backkkkk

Jeff is back with another hyper-energetic album. I really wanted this to sound more like WORRY. and it did. Songs go hard and they rock, and the breakdowns ohhh the sweet beautiful breakdowns. The fun catchy riffs with some darker lyrics are perfect. The drums are CRAZY I love it so much.

Fav songs: Scram! and f a m e
Least fav songs: Monday At The Beach and Honeymoon Ashtray

Imagine if this were the new Green Day album...

He did everything they tried to prove was dead. Jeff has proven himself once again to be on the cutting-edge of modern punk.

well after one listen all i can gather is it's another well performed and fun effort from jeff and the lads, but it lacks the focus and polish of their previous efforts, couple that with the occasional cringeworthy lyrics and the entire product comes out pretty underwhelming.
it's very middle of the road, very rarely did it go above mediocrity, but luckily it went under it even less

best songs: state line, fame, bnb
worst song: old crap

Shamelessly turned on to this record by the Fantano review, but this is some shamelessly good power pop. Proving you can mix an outdated style with modern themes, Rosenstock fearlessly confesses his fears on NO DREAM. It's got some of the tightest rock production of any record you'll hear this year, reminding me of the glory days of Green Day, Weezer and MCR. "***BNB*" in particular sounds like a b-side from Blue. On and on, Jeff screams and shouts his fears of finding meaning in ... read more

Jeff Rosenstock, the slacker king of Punk Rock is back with another set of incredibly catchy, caffeinated anthems that you’ll be humming throughout the day for sure. And because this formula works for him, this album for the most part does blend very nicely into his discography. However, if you ask me, he does need a shake up in the near future if he wants to avoid getting stale.

Thanks to "Worry.", Jeff Rosenstock has become one of my favorite punk artists in recent memory. His Albums are known for these aggressive, and adrenaline pumping set of high octane drums and wild guitar riffs. With these elements juxtaposed by Jeff's playful, yet, gutteral vocals, Jeff really is able to create an exhilarating and emotional experience. This is no different with this latest album here.

Each track here just bleeds passion, and contains some of his most introspective ... read more
