I have a bit of the problem with the infliction she puts on her voice at some points of the album. It sounds similar to the vocals of Dream Wife but much less egregious. Overall, the songwriting is pretty run of the mill but its well done and well produced indie rock.

liza threw EVERYTHING at the wall and almost all of it worked. this is my fav liza anne because it sounds like she's not trying to impress anyone and is just having fun

Something about Liza Anne’s music has never quite clicked for me, even as I intellectually understand that she should be up my alley. She’s a completely capable singer and hook writer, and though “Bad Vacation” doesn’t quite clear out the overproduction of predecessor “Fine but Dying,” the overall aesthetic is a bit rawer and less polished, which works to Anne's benefit.
