52nd Street is Billy Joel's highly-anticipated followup to his majorly successful, The Stranger. This 1978 masterpiece contains some of Billy's most diverse tracks, varying from his usual piano rock style to different genres like jazz (which he incorporates perfectly), reggae, and ballads. Big Shot to me is Joel's best song all around, his songwriting laced w sardonic humor and it's one of his more rocking tunes, not so self-important sounding as his bigger ballads like piano man or scenes from an italian restaurant, which were always hella corny to me.
Revisited one of Joels classic albums, still shines as bright as I remember, but doesn't hold up to "The Stranger".
