now THIS is how you make punk music that's interesting. i love how abrasive it is and how it's willing to take risks (because they succeed most of the time), and it's wrapped up into a short half-hour that feels refreshing more than anything.
AOTY labels this as 'synth punk'. That's probably the closest they'll get but what is so impressive about this album is how they have managed to blend industrial, techno, punk and noise to create this awesome little project. At only 30 minutes long, you have the choice to either watch an episode of B99 or listen to this, and i know what i'd go for.
no disrespect to B99
Very interesting. I would like to see their sound to have more variety and refinement but this was such a interesting blend of ideas. The the performances and song writing here are pretty good. I'm definitely interested to see what happens next.
Aggressive. Cacophonous. Anti-social. Dangerous. Groovy.
More gay music like this please for the love of god. Post-Punk by way of No Wave with Teeth and Muscles. Bludgeoning and revelatory. Yes. Yes. Yes.
