Rowboats about airplanes?? Does that the artwork and the title mean? Kidding aside, death cab for cutie's fist studio album is a succerssfull debut and pretty pleasant emo album I like the songs of the album such as the opener "Bend to Squaers" with its gorgeous usage of cello and the gentle tune, the reverb-driven intro of "Your Bruise", the psychedelic touch of "Pictures in a Exhibition", the smooth slugishness of "Sleep Spent" followed by the wonderful ... read more

So you’re not gonna tell me what that something is? Really :,(

I believe this is technically Death Cab’s debut album and there’s some pretty cool stuff going on here. I went into this album not expecting much since I've tried to listen to one of the songs in the past but after listening.. this shits good. It is now one of my favorite albums by them and I'm glad I tried to give it a listen again. It's not like their later albums and it's really different, but that's good. It gives a new charm to Death Cab that I didn't know was there. I recommend 100%
