Throughout much of The Ghost Inside, Vigil's pensive lyricism produces sincere reflections on suffering, self-doubt and sacrifice.

For the most part ... this is The Ghost Inside getting back to the largely straightforward, undeniably powerful mix of metal and hardcore they have always done so well.

Sounds like some pretty standard metalcore, which is never a bad thing for my ears. I particularly liked the last few songs, when there were some hint of clean vocals and more melody rather than just breakdown-breakdown-breakdown. I think this release would be a bigger deal if I were more in tune with The Ghost Inside lore, but I appreciate their longevity and still liked this.
