CRITIC REVIEWS

Louder Than War
They’ve released a career-high, pertinent, contemporary collection of songs that will rightly find their place within their audience’s psyche.
80
Uncut
Healy's songs have always been suffused with nostalgia; now, far removed from those innocent days, the poignant pull is overwhelming.
80
Mojo

Travis remain curiously unrevered, but 10 Songs is fine work nonetheless.

80
AllMusic

After 2016's robust but scattered Everything at Once, the focused 10 Songs is a welcome return to their early style and one of the strongest statements in their catalog.

70
Under The Radar
The sentiments and subjects have changed over the years, but Healy’s ability to craft a radio-ready earworm has never left.

American Songwriter
Travis is to be commended for keeping the faith and coming up with another batch of quality songs that, if not their best stuff, isn’t far from it. But like the album’s unimaginative title, there’s little that pushes any of the band’s established boundaries into new and fresh sonic areas.

Gigwise

In a long thirty-year tradition, 10 Songs successfully continues Travis’ generic sound: mellow instrumentation and vocals to match.

NME
Fran Healy and pals don't rock the boat too much with a melancholic ninth record that captures the familiar feeling of wishing you’re anywhere else but here.

Travis always sounded old, older than it actually was and now that it has reached the suitable age, it feels pretty comfortable and that is reflected in these 10 songs.

British indie from top to bottom.

It's an album that doesn't want to overstep any boundaries or risks, but if the melancholy sounds are still fresh, why alter the harmony?
Experience is key and Travis' biggest strength is of course their ballistic sound production and igniting the mood swings track by track, proving their near 30 year music career hasn't let up.

10 Songs is familiar, but very accessible feel-good album.

It was nice, but I don't think I am gonna listen to it again, like ever. I tried to like it for a while but it always fell short.
