Chico Buarque's fifth album for Philips is a classic, where nearly all the songs became hits.

Amidst the euphoric state of censorship from the government in the 70s, Brazil's legendary singer/songwriter Chico Buarque returned from his exhile in Italy, willing to join the revolutionary acts that were popping up within the country's darkest corners. Umberto Eco once said: "To Survive, you must tell stories". Chico in your entire discography tell us great stories. He tell great stories in this record too. Chico survive until and will survive forever.
Although the first half is better than the second half, Chico Buarque's magnum opus is a highly consistent amazing piece of creative MPB with soft mellow vocals and soothing instrumentals and also the self titled track is easily my favorite MPB track of all time.

One of the smartest and most creative albums ever produced under a censorship context, filled with political criticism. A must-listen to anyone interested in knowing brazilian music.
