What a way to wear your influences on your sleeves. If someone were to show me this with no prior knowledge of the band I would have thought it was some kind of b-sides set or limited edition bonus tracks from MGMT's early years.
Regardless, STRFKR sounds tighter than ever on Reptilians, and it's a pretty good album overall. Just too bad that it doesn't sound like their record.
Essential Tracks - Julius // Bury Us Alive
Infectious in a Cut/Copy kind of way. Frankly, not a compelling listen, but, a safe alternative to no sound, television or radio. Kind of fun. Show potential. But...The real question that begs to be asked is, "What's with the name of the band?"
