This is a lot of fun. The syncopation and finicking with the standard pop makes the pretty standard songs feel less standard. I’m digging it, we’ll see how the score varies throughout the year.
Being a fan of Metronomy, I’ve naturally had a desire to know just what each member brings to the table. Joseph brings his intriguing songwriting; Anna brings her ambient drumming; Oscar has the intricate keyboard elements; and Gbenga has the groovy baselines; yet I’ve never quite known what Michael Lovett (brother of former bassist Gabriel Stebbing and also newest addition to the line up) brings alongside him.
