The Line of Best Fit

Coming in on the highly personal side, with themes of resilience, persistence, heartbreak and finally acceptance, the songs are bittersweet and the result is a mature sound marrying elegantly with Georgas’ ethereal, yet sweet, vocals.

She leaves so much room for relatable ambiguity. She imbues each line with a multitude of feeling. And she chooses a producer whose tone recreates the scalding sheen of a distant late-August heat wave.

The Guardian

Georgas’s fourth album, immaculately produced by Aaron Dessner, traverses a personal and sometimes opaque journey.

Georgas worked with Aaron Dessner on this third LP, and his immersive production, including layered keyboards and twinkling harmonics, pairs perfectly with her elegant voice.

It's a record that may require this kind of attention to detail to fully appreciate, but even absent that, All That Emotion is an elegant exploration of soft atmospheres as well as human behavior.

By insisting on quiet loveliness in all aspects of its production, All That Emotion misses out on the weirder and more fascinating elements of Georgas’ older music.

"I thought I had a million things to say/I woke up and I still can't think of a thing," she sings on Easy, but with All That Emotion, Georgas makes herself crystal clear.

The Observer

The Canadian singer-songwriter’s biting lyrics and gentle delivery find an ideal foil in producer Aaron Dessner.

A entrance into the indie female singer/songwriter cannon, there were a few that did it a little better for me in 2020 (Helena Deland, Lomelda, Nat Vazer)
Best tracks: Easy
This record wasn't amazing in anything it did but that point didn't stop me from really enjoying it. Hannah's voice was extremely calming throughout and the instruments and production were perfectly mixed in my opinion, leaving the perfect amount of silence beside the tracks to let the mind go where it wants to throughout any track with it's somber lyricism stemming from more sad than not thoughts Hannah has had throughout her time of writing for this LP. The only downsided thought I had ... read more
Very little of this is unique or exciting but it's not awful
