J cole knows noname is more knowledgeable than him and instead of supporting her he cries about her tone. can you just fucking listen to her man. can you relay her message considering you think that she’s right? why bother with this fucking tone policing. and comparing her tone and the way she speaks to the reason it took black people so long to get out of slavery is the stupidest fucking thing you couldve said. you arent better than noname because you can dumb down your message to people ... read more

While the timing of the song and its tone policing are highly questionable, I mostly agree with the general message of the song. I think it's important to try and show the people we disagree with a little compassion sometimes even if they're being fucking morons and this song gets that point across pretty well. Cole is aware that not everyone is going to be educated enough to contribute much towards progress, and this song basically says we should try and help them get there rather than scorn ... read more

Noname does seem like she's 24/7 on her high horse, but J cole is dissing himself here more than he's dissing her.

A track about a rich man in his 30's telling us he's too lazy to learn whatever he thinks noname knows about the world. Oh dear oh dear.
