My favorite Brian Eno album.

I came home not too many minutes ago to a package I don't remember ordering. I opened it and, to my huge surprise, a vinyl copy of this was inside. Having no idea whether I'd ordered it in my sleep or not (which I've done with other items), I checked my Amazon and credit card history, both with no record of it. The first side of this record is very nice ambience. The synths sound fantastic and its just an overall great piece that totally justifies its 30 minute runtime. However, I think the classical pieces on side B are just as nice and add a lot to the record. It's a very beautiful listen, the arrangements are fantastic. Great record.
The more I listen to Eno, the more frustrated I get. I absolutely adored his first album, the Fripp collaborative effort “No Pussyfooting”, with its beautiful drones and pulsating instrumentation. But since then, I everything else I’ve listened to just pales in comparison for me sadly. “Discreet music” is perfectly pleasant ambient, in fact it’s actually one of the most relaxing of his releases I’ve heard to date.
