My prior reviews have made it clear that I’m in the minority in not appreciating Colter Wall’s shtick, but once again, I was lured into “Western Swing & Waltzes” not only by breathless acclaim, but by promises of Wall’s growth as a musician. Colter Wall keeps tipping the cap to the classics, while being one of the few young country troubadours worth paying attention to.

Colter Wall is easily my favorite Country singer/songwriter/musician as he is some home able to capture that Johnny Cash type of timelessness with his voice and various off-kilter vocal inflections.
