Yeah, this is beautiful. It’s a vibe but a disturbing one, as I believe this orchestra was comprised of French WW2 veterans. A lot of the passage titles speak of death and angels, so it must’ve been an extremely contemplative and nihilistic process for these musicians. It really did humanize the war for me further, even if my entire life I was taught about it (perks of being a Pole).
