The loud-soft dynamic on As We Suffer From Memory and Imagination starts the whole thing in medias res almost, as if the dizzying instrumentation needs no introduction. And it doesn't really, "As the Mask Begins to Slip" is the perfect introduction to a perfect 21 minutes of frenzied madness. Nuvolascura lay all their cards out in this first portion of their project; extreme dissonance, harsh production and even harsher vocals.
