Took a while to adjust to but I hope Jesus is King 2 sounds more like this, and less like what it just was
Inexcusable mixing and incoherent lyricism on a track that only really has a notable second half. I prefer this to anything on Jesus is King, mind you, but that's a pretty fucking low bar.
It's Kanye time! Kanye and Trav deliver this song that just slaps hard and gets better every time I listen to it. I know people complaining about this mixing but I personally don't mind it at all. I'm just really happy to see Kanye being way more confident with the gospel music route than when he was on Jesus is King. This really seems like an evolution of the sound he tried with that album and he's perfecting this kind of style with songs like this. This has me really hyped for his next album!
Very underrated. I remember being hyped for God's Country during the pandemic. ONLY REAL ONES REMEMBER WEST DAY EVER
