Cute energy and jamming instrumentation. The youthful mindset of a band wrapped up in the POV of someone who just wanna dance. The voices of the young women you hear, how they cradle their sound and tip it into the rough sky, help deliver the frantic need for your attention towards their honest depictions.
Fun and full of energy, Diet Cig melds the unique qualities of Speedy Ortiz with Waxahatchee to create their--inorganically derived--sound. This EP will certainly not break them out of the indie rock depths most largely unheard of bands inhabit, but they do show some promise. A good start; yet, can they form their own identity?...

All right, kiddos. Learn the name, because Diet Cig, consisting of Alex Luciano and Noah Bowman, are raucous, radical, and just really, really good. Some fun lyrics, and som quite good music on here. I especially like the easy going feel of this EP, plus "Harvard" has got that summer anthem feel, that will soon become importent. With a playing time at just over 10-minuts, this is really just a declaration of intent, but i will most definitely be keeping an eye on this band.

Favorite moments: Scene Sick, Harvard.
