After repeat listens the only thing that comes to mind is my having to listen to some kid wax on about how he learned to manipulate sounds from his X-Box or Wii. The challenge here would require Seth stepping up his game and arriving at a level of recording that challenged the legacy of The Knife, DJ Shadow or Twin Shadow. So far, not a fan.
Seth Haley (aka Com Truise) is, first and foremost, an admitted synth obsessive. With that in mind, it should come as no surprise that Galactic Melt is dominated entirely by synthesizers (and punchy 80's electronic drums). With the creative freedom that modern production entails, it can make for an interesting soundset and an exciting album. Unfortunately, Galactic Melt misses the mark.
