~ The Price Of Tea In China sounds like it could be a soundtrack to a legendary Detroit movie. It really gives you a detail of what the drug game is like in the city and what you have to do in order to hustle and make ends meet which I love. The best way I can describe Boldy James’ music is a cold winter night in Detroit.

(Rating and reviewing the deluxe tracks only) The first edition of The Price Of Tea In China is one of the grimiest and street albums of the year, one of personal top 15 too. I loved the minimal, however very monotone, approach of Boldy's raps and the minimal drum and sample heavy beats from the great Alc. And when you listen to these 4 new tracks, you can tell they were cut from the same cloth.

I don't think the beats are as good as the album tracks, which is the main thing I liked about this album. Love seeing a Cool Kids feature tho. Understandable why these didn't make the album, not bad though.

Least favorite: Belvedere
