Thee Physical is music ready for a dance floor, but it’s also a disc that shows growth towards a better ability to blend the synthetic and the organic.
It's really cool to see the influence this album had on acts like grimes and the whole vaporwave movement. This came out back when bandcamp and soundcloud artists actually meant something. The cool fusion of 90's sounds with a modern flow and composition makes for some really cool grooves to get lost in. The whisper singing gets a bit weird at times, but Pictureplane manages to slide in and out of his production with subtly that doesn't put too much emphasis on the lyrical content.
