Fantastic Negrito is his own genre. No one fuses different elements of hip-hop, R&B, funk, soul, and rock the way he does. His timely socio-political lyrics just add to that signature style. Some of this record is a little out there for me but damn, the stuff that works REALLY works. It's a refreshing and passionate album and I recommend it.
A lot of artists have ideas of creating exciting, funky blues rock but not many can bring these ideas together with such precision and ferocity as is showcased throughout this record. It's a well-constructed, fun bunch of songs, some which are funkier and heavier than the others but the whole way through i felt a sense of danceability and grooviness embedded within the layers on each track.
