Such a vibrant, colourful collection of pieces here from, believe it or not, the Sun Ra Arkestra. Now, I know it's been about three decades since Sun Ra himself died but I was seriously impressed at how well the group emulate his sound without him. It's a beautiful listen, if at times a little weird and indulgent. The hour and a half run goes by quickly and this is just a fun, chaotic, dissonant spiritual jazz album.

This album proves that Sun Ra's compositions have passed the test of time and it cements his genius. Also, the playing from everybody on this album is stellar.
