Such a vibrant, colourful collection of pieces here from, believe it or not, the Sun Ra Arkestra. Now, I know it's been about three decades since Sun Ra himself died but I was seriously impressed at how well the group emulate his sound without him. It's a beautiful listen, if at times a little weird and indulgent. The hour and a half run goes by quickly and this is just a fun, chaotic, dissonant spiritual jazz album.
