Loud and Quiet
Holding it all together are her mercurial vocals – by turns smooth and smoky, and, like Badu’s, telling stories littered with her own idiosyncrasies. A remarkable debut.

Pitchfork
Short and fleeting yet bound by a shared aesthetic vision, these 20 songs capture in-between feelings—anticipation, longing, eagerness, hesitation, indecision—with sensitivity and specificity.

NME
An immersive and atmospheric mood piece akin to Solange’s ‘When I Get Home’ and Frank Ocean’s ‘Endless’.

Earmilk
The young and ascending performer showcases her knack for crafting hazy and wavy soul numbers that reveal deeper layers of lyrical and melodic substance with repeat listenings.

Mojo

Something of a sonic lucky dip, these 20 short, super buzzy, impregnably titled tracks often switch beats or cut-off abruptly, underlying its rule-breaking creator's rookie confidence.

To be serious, seeing Liv.E live was a pretty cool experience. Alongside MIKE, she opened for Earl Sweatshirt's Fire'd Up Tour in November of 2019. Her stage presence was sexy, with a voice that of an angel. The tracks that she performed were inspired by traditional R&B styling rather than influences from her acquaintances. This is why I was pleasantly surprised to find out about "Couldn't Wait To Tell ... read more

A solid debut album that sees Liv.E developing a hazy psychedelic neo-soul album. Liv.e incorporating elements of dream pop, jazz and vapourwave is a nice touch making this album a pleasant but moody listen. Unlike her last tape on Hoopdreams her vocal talents are more upfront in here and is one of the strengths on this tape. Themes on here are mostly centered around her personal growth and relationship turmoils which can be damn sure relatable. The aesthetics on this album feels at most times ... read more

Um álbum com produção classuda onde a artista Liv.E consegue mesclar soul, jazz, r&b e hip hop de uma maneira genial e inovadora. Os pontos altos são "I Been Alive" um soul jazz futuristico e a faixa que encerra o álbum "Bout My Big Man Better". Em alguns momentos o vocal da moça lembra Erykah Badu e o uso de piano em músicas como "How It Made Me Feel" e "Watchu Need Reminded" é muito bem feito.

American singer-songwriter Olivia Williams hails from Dallas, TX and is best know to the music world as Liv.e and on her debut album Couldn’t Wait To Tell You… she conjures up a great blend of cosmic neo-soul and experimental R&B. Liv.e had already worked out some material through a couple EPs that happen to catch the attention of Erykah Badu of all people, which lead to her album getting a livestream treatment on her website. Badu’s endowment makes ton of sense seeing as ... read more
