[Verse 1: Charli XCX]
When he calls me, I go crazy
Call me with my friends, it doesn't phase me
Windows down, ridin' in the SUV
And I'm spillin' champagne all ... read more

Wait...this doesn’t suck dogshit? Oh!

Marilyn ‘Edgeboy’ Manson is an artist that, even though some if not most of his music is just eargrading to me, i’ve always admired. It’s easy to look at his edgy, make-up faced appearance and dismiss him as someone who is just doing this out of shock, but not only has he made some pretty compelling music over the years, he’s also one of the more progressively ‘punk’ artists to come out of the last decade. Not bad Mary. Not bad.

We are Chaos is finally a bright spot in some not great albums in recent years. The opener is a great intro track with an unsettling spoken word at the beginning and it goes into one of the more aggressive moments of the track list sets up the album well. The next 5 tracks are great hard rock songs but if you’re not already a fan of Manson they probably won’t do much for you. Infinite Darkness is the standout of these 5, the chorus hits hard and this song ... read more

Lord of horror and purveyor of shock antics, Manson seems to finally take a step back and see himself being almost sincere. WE ARE CHAOS still blends in the industrial metal/rock of his previous ten albums, but Manson seems actually willing to spread out and show that he isn't just a one trick pony who relies solely on his scare tactics.

RED BLACK AND BLUE would easily trick you into believing you were in for the same old affair with Manson, with his typical layered vocals of a deep and ... read more

This album was... pretty fun tbh. It started out really weak with the opener which honestly (imo) is really boring but once the album really got started it became a pretty enjoyable little quarantine album. Perfume and Keep My Head Together were prb my fav tracks from this album, certainly exceeded my... admittedly low expectations.

I guess you could say this was a poor introduction into Marilyn Mansons music.

This album is refreshingly good by Mansons standards. While The Pale Emporer was an enjoyable detour from his usual angsty stylings it was followed by Heaven Upside Down which ranged from lackluster too sloggish. This however is a refreshingly new and good album that is somehow also steeped richly in mansons past. RED BLACK AND BLUE is an incredible opener with an atmospheric industrial intro that harkens back to the finest moments of Holy Wood. The main song is comprised mainly of crushingly ... read more

Listening to the lifeless and generic glam rock on 'WE ARE CHAOS' just makes me wonder what it must have been like to be alive in the 90's, when a new Marilyn Manson album would have been shocking and exciting.

His best album since Mechanical Animals. Fight me.

The album definitely starts out ok. The opener has some great chunky metal riffs and melodies. But the weird, overblown, folk and metal fusions on this record are quite bad. I'd even say "PERFUME" is one of the worst songs I've heard all year. But honestly I respect him branching out to new ideas for an inconsistent but engaging album.

The beginning and the end are very good. When it comes to the middle of the album I found myself a little disinterested. Half-Way and One Step Foward, Infinite Darkness and Perfume are not on the same level as the rest of the album, they give a "belly" impression there.
The first 4, on the other hand, are one hit after another and say what they came for.
It's a great return from Marilyn Manson, it's a good record.

This is the first Marilyn Manson record I've heard, I just knew some famous songs and disliked them. I'm genuinely surprised, this is actually very good. First of all, 10 songs are enough, he didn't fill the album with unnecessary tracks just to waste our time. "Red Black and Blue", "Half-Way & One Step Forward", and "Solve Coagula" are good songs but every other is better, especially "Don't Chase the Dead", one of the best 2020 songs in my opinion. ... read more

Manson's latest outing finds him still on the creative pathways forged by his standout comeback album The Pale Emperor, however this one doesn't quite live up to its forebear with some distinct misses. Paint You With My Love being the most notable, a song that was almost a complete write-off until its ending which saved it slightly. However, on the other side of things, songs like Broken Needle show that there's plenty of gas left in his creative tank. The most immense takeaway from We Are ... read more

Thought I'd give this a shot and I found it to be very middle-of-the-road. I can't for the life of me remember more than a couple songs. 'Perfume' was campy fun, but I will probably forget it quickly. I ought to try one of his more acclaimed albums.

Marilyn Manson's latest album shows he's still got some creativity left in him. While the album doesn't totally gain traction, there is enough good stuff here to make a decent record. Lots of influence from David Bowie can be heard here and there on the record, and this album seems to take some aspects from Manson's 1998 record Mechanical Animals. It's a breath of fresh air in the creativity department, however this sound is also the downfall of a few tracks off of the album. The formula just ... read more
