Portugal. The Man are definitely one of the best melody writers, every song is so damn catchy. Overall, it is a really cool psychedelic pop rock album.

This has escaped from the influence of the 1960s and has completed their own psychedelic rock.
This is one of the best psychedelic rock albums of the 2000s.

I love Evil Friends and all but it must be said that this album is the end of their more original/experimental-ish era. There's just far more creativity put on display on this album, love the occasional psych vibes, the chamber elements thrown throughout the track list, and the overall distinction between each song. The highlights are absolutely insane and there is very little filler, all around it's just really well crafted and written. Oh, and catchy too!

My favorite Portugal. The Man album, still in the ever growing rotation

A decent album held back by just how similar it all sounds, and by the sheer quality of it's crown jewel of a closer. If this album takes place in the clouds, that finale is what it's like to summit the mountain and see the clear sky above the clouds.

My seventeen year old self thought that nearly every song having a second title was stupid and manually removed the parentheses from the end of each songs title. In retrospect, she was right.

Just a really nice listen that I have a lot of nostalgia with. Would recommend.
