FAVORITE TRACK: Songs for Joanna

LEAST FAVORITE TRACK: Twin Heavy

Happy King Krule, you can sit with me!

Very inspired by the sound of The Beatles, Yellow Days and The Lumineers, Twin Heavy combines its influences to create a poppy, folk-rock record. In fact, I don't even think pop and folk rock is a good way to describe the sound of this record because every song sounds so different. But it all works to create this collection of music that sounds like it should've come out in the 70s while ... read more

Nice little easy listening, psych-tinged record with plenty of tracks that stand out. Sounds effortless.
But its one of those albums where most of the songs a good, but not great. This will need a reassessment later in the year i think.

Best tracks: Big Nothing, Songs fr Joanna, Twin Heavy, Condo, Heavy Traffic, Why you gotta do it,

There's so much I want to say but to keep it short this album is amazing front to back! Filled with feel good vibes, old school sound, and incredibly groovy.

WJH's voice reminds me of the Cars on some tracks and Paul McCartney on others.

Do yourself a favor and check this out asap. One of my favorites of the year!

Willie J Healey tells us that money doesn’t solve our problems on the aforementioned “Why You Gotta Do It”. On that song, he says that ‘nobody was doomed from the ... read more
