Icelandic post-rock/metal, it's okay. The quality and inventiveness of this record were not very pleasing but the idea was there. Plus a lovely cover to contrast the music. It's nice and atmospheric, some pretty long tracks are packed and versatile. Instrumentation wasn't crazy unique or special, nothing really new emerged from this project. Just a simple pleasant listen.

Color: Beige and Blue (My favorite color scheme)
Favorite Tracks: Rökkur
Worst Tracks: None!

Infinite twilight, infinite love. May it last for millenniums to come.

Sólstafir can't make bad music, but this certainly feels like their most by-the-book album to date. And as a result, it feels a little bit like it's missing some juice compared to the rest of their impressive discography.

Top Tracks: Rökkur, Til Moldar
Rating: 7.5/10

Spent the whole album playing a chess game, it's so good .
