A great acomplishment in folk rock that packs an orchestral punch.
Strong sense of melody and songwritting. Charismatic vocals full of emotion in display.
Sounds like the 80's but with a sound that isn't outdated.

GO LISTEN TO: The Pan Within.
This is just… So long, and for very little gain. There isn't much here to really get into, and none of the tracks really deliberately stand out to me. I had never really listened to The Waterboys before this album, and I couldn't really see myself wanting to come back for more in the future.

Favorite track: Be My Enemy
Not perfect, there´s a "cover" of Maggie´s Farm for some reason, but when it´s good... it´s special.
Of course it's epic but it has so strong melodies and a reassuring power that won't only present you the sea but it will make you swim within its majesty.
