A compendious set of cinematic, soothing and poignant songs, showcasing a deeper maturity not only in Melua’s voice, but also in her songwriting.

The Telegraph
The songwriter's album about the end of her seven-year marriage is at once dreamy, spooky, precise and mature.

AllMusic

Album No. 8 is an intensely personal album that feels like Melua made it for herself first and foremost.

American Songwriter
A rich, beautifully recorded set that manages to be both cinematic and introspective.

The Arts Desk
It's a nicely paced collection full of light and air and pleasing textures. More meaningful by far than the over-hyped and pretentious Laura Marling.

It's nothing I haven't heard before. She has a really nice voice but it's so spacy and super stripped back.

Color: Off-white
Favorite Tracks: English Manner
Worst Tracks: None!

The strings arragements, the smooth voice the soft touch of jazz and big band sound, gives it a lift up of chillness and an atmosphere of 50-70's sounds since very classic to a lot of jazzy. It's just like a chocolate bar to enjoy in a break

A refreshing and laidback album from Katie. This could be her best work yet.
