It is a Denzel Curry 2.0 that we find on Melt My Eyez, See Your Future to write a new era, more liberated, more mature, more melodic, more accessible, without touching his divine mastery.
Born in Carol City, Denzel Curry is obviously not to be introduced anymore, he is the most appreciated modern rapper of the musical communities as here in AOTY, or on RYM. And rightly so, because Denzel Curry never makes a mistake. He perfectly combines all the criteria of a good student, i.e. being ... read more
I was really excited to listen to this album, given that Denzel has been instrumental to the development of my music taste over the last couple years and that the first two singles are arguably his best two songs. Walkin and Zatoichi remain amazing and sound very boundary-pushing for Denzel standards, but it's hard not to be underwhelmed by the outcome and overall sound of this album and it's even harder to understand why the rest of the tracks didn't experiment as much as the singles, sounding ... read more
While “Melt My Eyez See Your Future” doesn’t quite hit the level of TA13OO for me, it’s still a great artistic statement and a great display of how versatile and talented Denzel Curry is.
Denzel Curry has been one of my favorite and one of the most exciting voices in rap for a while now. "Imperial", "Unlocked", and especially "TA13OO" are some of my favorite rap albums of the last 10 years, and even "ZUU" was a really solid ... read more

Ever since his major label debut, Denzel Curry has proven to be one of the most exciting and talented rappers of his generation. Most of his work up until this point consisted of catchy but purposeful bangers, but he's never ... read more

Executing it with samurai-level precision, Denzel Curry returns with sophisticated rhymes and innovative southern hip-hop production showcasing a rapper in full control of their powers. With the help of sophisticated jazz pianist Robert Glasper, opener 'Melt Session #1' feels like the perfect orientation to Denzel's values and cerebral viewpoint as an action-movie ... read more
"Melt My Eyez See Your Future" was probably number 1 in my most anticipated releases of 2022, being the first full length Denzel record in a long time while also having an incredible title and the anticipation only grew larger with the amazing singles, visuals and overall Japanese/Samurai aesthetic of this era
The bar is always set very high for Denzel as he's one of the best and most consistent artists out right now but did this new record live up to the hype? Absolutely and I ... read more
With the legacy of Vine being reduced to a handful of memes that are constantly repackaged into compilations on YouTube, it’s easy to forget the vast amount of random songs, mostly trap, that would blow up and become popular on the app. Despite all of these “Vine hits”, very rarely did they result into a worthwhile career, as usually the one song would become incredibly popular, it would become inescapable for about a month, and then you’ll be lucky if you ever heard ... read more
Is Melt My Eyez, See Your Future better than TA13OO? Probably not. Is it a step in the right direction although it’s not completely an improvement? Absolutely.
As Denzel Curry said himself, this album was made while his mental health improved, so no matter what he delivered I would be happy for him. I went into this record expecting a masterpiece due to the incredible feedback from the singles. When I first listened, I was a bit underwhelmed, but that’s only because I had such high ... read more
Denzel Curry? More like mmmm this is a scrumptious and melty (get it?) curry (get it again???)
From blunt to conceptual to bright and to nerdy, Denzel is clearly taking notes from the OutKast/Kanye/Kendrick school of thought to make sure each of his records have a unique sound and vibe to differentiate themselves from one another. Although he can't hold a candle to the names I mentioned, it is nice to know he can take notes and apply to his own music accordingly.
Melt My Eyez See Your Future is an album with a long title but a fairly average run time, where Denzel picks up where he left ... read more
EDIT: Fuck it, this album is phenomenal and deserves an even higher score. By far the greatest album I have heard this year so far. How can it be this consistent! This is def going to be up there with hip hop classics.
This is what happens when you are able to have a very creative mind and take a sound that has been tried and tried over two decades ago and craft it into a unique dreamy vibe like no other. This album sounds fresh as hell and Curry is one hell of a rapper. But behind the ... read more
denzel can just retire by now. his base level of quality across his long list of work is just mind-blowing, and this release just goes to show that. using refined, tasteful production with an impeccable vocal delivery and profound lyricism, zel is absolutely embarrassing his rap contemporaries with a record set to make both old-school and modern rap fans drool. i find myself coming back to “Walkin”, which is the perfect top-down banger for riding into the sunset. in all seriousness, ... read more
"Melt My Eyez See The Future" is my first album with Denzel Curry and let's just say it was a revealing experience and a resistible sound. The rapper's rhythm of words is something my ear brims with excitement. Everything here seems to work, the lyrics, production and concept. The collaborations on the album are flawless and the whole project screams "versatility".
I will definitely check out the rest of this artist discography as he is one of the most interesting rappers ... read more
Denzel Curry returns... And DAMN DIS HARD.
Denzel has evolved and has shown us his courage to move forward and to further improve and change his sound in a positive way. To all the criticism of him now going for darker beats, i am gonna say this. If an artist doesn't have the courage and will to sound different and to stand out from the crowd, to make new sounds and to explore themselves artistically, then they might as well make the same song over and over again. There's only so much you can ... read more
Yeah the album sounds really good but personally his music fails to connect to me.
The production is pretty eye popping, the rapping is pretty sharp, but yeah I have grown out of the phase where I used be really into hip hop now these type of music just doesn't do much for me anymore. :(
It's a decent album, but not something I would revisit or comeback too.
Decent 4/10
Melt My Eyez See Your Future é o quinto disco do rapper estadunidense.

So glad I like this now. Review is staying up though because I am proud of it.
I was not looking forward to this at all.
I know, I know. Very unexpected. I love Denzel, I gave TA13OO a 96/100. And I do love that album. And had I not heard the singles, I would’ve been anticipating this maybe more than Ants From Up There. But those singles did nothing to impress me.
Well, why was that? They had the amount of intensity I usually like from music. The production was great ... read more
"Run the jewels 'cause I kill a mic on any LP" - Just give this guy album of the year already
Walkin, Zatoichi, & Troubles could've made anyone guess that Zel would've dropped a contender at least. This album is full of the most insane flows and beats; A much different path compared to all of Zel's other projects, but it works so god damn well. People who enjoys the aggressive Ta13oo/Imperial Denzel can get a few tracks off here, but the more melodical crew can absolutely love ... read more

For years now Denzel Curry has been proving time and time again that he's one of the best rappers of the modern generation, for me he has consistently been putting out nothing but quality projects, each with their own different feel and we get to witness a new side to Denzel once again on his newest album, 'Melt My Eyez, See Your Future'. MMESYF is coming out about 3 years after his last album 'ZUU', a more commercial yet fun follow up to his masterpiece ... read more
My eyes aren't melted but I can say for sure my ears are after listening to this LP.
Critically acclaimed, Miami-based rapper Denzel Curry returns with a new LP titled Melt My Eyez, See Your Future. Everybody and their momma was hyped about this when this had first been announced in mid-2021. There was always a spark of excitement hidden deep inside me that would expand endlessly whenever I would hear that Zel is coming up with something new in the works. This excitement was further amplified ... read more
This album is fucking great, Denzel's pen is on point as ever, flows are killer, production is nice, I think this is Zel's most conscious album yet, and even if he can get a bit in your face for a second he manages to keep things classy, this album is fresher than a motherfucker.
Denzel is focused, to the point, some songs even have just 1 verse but it's kinda all it needed. Yeah, this shit is pretty fucking great.
Bullshit fly my way, I keep walkin, bitch. lmao
