É um bom e simples álbum country, não é muito grandioso, mas foi um bom começo para Shania Twain que depois viria se tornar uma das maiores estrelas do country. Os vocais estão bons e a produção é bem singela.

Shania's debut album is a typical 90s country album, she doesn't really show much of her personality in this album but opener "What Made You Say That" is proof of what she could do. As a whole this album is pretty decent, a bit boring at times but enjoyable regardless.
Highlights: What Made You Say That, You Lay a Whole Lot of Love on Me, Dance with the One That Brought You.
This is a typical early 90s country album, it's not bad but it isn't good either, most songs are faceless and her personality doesn't really come through in them (that can be explained by the lack of artistic control she had on this album).
Highlights: What Made You Say That, Got a Hold On Me and God Ain't Gonna Getcha for That.
Criminally underrated. I get that this flopped and didn't jump-start her career but it's true blue country. Her first LP is more traditional compared to Come On Over or UP! but only less lively and edgy than The Woman In Me respectfully. I come back to this and am reminded how rich her voice is.
There’s really nothing special about this album. It’s full of catchy-but-disposable country songs that you forget about the second they’re over. The music is lifeless and lacks the glitz and glamour that makes Shania Twain’s music “Shania Twain’s music”.
