From what I've heard this is a big step away from his older music which I haven't listened to yet. Brian steps away from his typical rap style for the most part on this ep to make a pop record. I respect that he is trying to experiment with sounds but this just isn't it. A few of the tracks sound quite generic, especially sometimes, and it just comes off as bland

I listened to this project because @TomBejoy suggested it (as I was unfamiliar with Rich Brian's previous work) and I was pretty satisfied and impressed by the project.

'1999' had vocals from Rich Brian that didn't sound very unique, sounding as it wasn't his own vocals and instead was borrowed which I could only enjoy till a certain degree. Rich Brian goes into the melodic style he teased on The Sailor fully but doesn't end up nailing that sound. The Sailor was one of my favourite projects of 2019 so while I did see a lot of negative reviews on this project, I did have some excitement that it would at least have some elements I would enjoy. Wow! He releases an authentic creative debut and then follows that up with an album full of new sounds and hits so how did he think such a bland empty album was good?
If there is one artist that I am willing to defend, no matter how different can be my opinions with other people, is Brian; this dude learned English watching YouTube videos and trying hard to be an internet sensation.

Brian has many artistic capacities; he is able to sound good doing whatever he feels, just focusing on having fun. He is actually quite interesting with either his rap verses or his singing, though obviously he is better as a rapper.
