This band is literally incapable of making a bad song

I guess 2020 is the year of my favorite metal bands releasing music for the first time since 2016. First Gojira and now Deftones, music snobs' go-to choice for The Actually Good Nu Metal Band. Hey, I ain't complainin', I totally agree. Do the Chino Boogie

Deftones are one of the few bands that consistently impress and are legitimately one of the most unique and consistent metal bands to come out from the 90s. Every release that they have made has constantly moved their sound forward in unique and interesting ways, and this new single is no exception!

It shouldn’t be surprising that this new single is solid. Deftones are one of the most consistently great bands to come out of the 90’s nu metal scene, with their discography showing a clear progression in sound and style, while still retaining what makes them them, all while tragically losing a key member In the middle of the bands toughest period of their career. Despite this, Deftones have managed to stay relevant for 2 decades, that’s fucking impressive.
