 The Autumn Effect is the most well-known album by 10 Years, an alternative band from the United States that made it big for a little while with the song "Wasteland." Remember that song? You probably do if you're a North American my age, since it was played on the radio quite often back in the mid-2000s. Rightfully so, I might add—it's pretty well-written and holds up even now. Once more around that same, rusted, alt-metal rollercoaster that hasn't fun...
In my opinion this is a masterpiece.
The cover art is unique and beauiful and makes the album stand out in the first place, while also working very well together with the music, creating a dark, exotic, mysterious atmosphere.
The songs don't sound all the same and have deep and cryptic lyrics.

At first i liked how each song blended with one another but as years have passed on the impact has died. Empires could have been cut from the album; it doesn't add anything new to the album. The heaviness nor the lighter moments on the album aren't strong as i remembered. The songs are mediocre but not bad at all.
