Might be my favorite her albums, but I'm a sucker for that jazzy, seamless, adult contemporary instrumentation, and Leslie's vocals work symbiotically with it. Your ego... let it die... and see yourself to her leisure suite.

With precise and soft notes (even when urgents, as in "Lonely Lonely"), Let It Die is a efficient smooth ambient creator that is a great demonstration of what Feist WANTS to give her audience - and improves with glory in The Reminder.

Plus: how sexy is "Leisure Suite", hum?

Must listen to: Mushaboom, Leisure Suit, Lonely Lonely

I'm not big on vocal jazz, which this record does lean heavily into, I think.
That being said, her voice does it for me, it's so soothing and enveloping, perfect balance between skill and emotion. The lyrical themes....meh, you can kind of miss me with that.
The instrumentals suit her really well, and I must admit, I do prefer the more taciturn cuts here.

GO LISTEN TO: Tout Doucement.
