Battle Studies is gentle pop rock with a bluesy feel—basically John's signature. I quite like this album and it's very consistently good.
I've been trying his whole discography since January, but this one impressed me as his best work (slightly edging out Heavier Things).
Edge of Desire has stricken me the most because I've heard this one on the radio when I was in highschool and I was really into it but I've never found out its title. Might be my favorite Mayer song now along with Who Says.
