What a wonderful alt-rock album! This is my first introduction to Deep Sea Diver and I am hooked. The band has the production of Lucy Dacus and the vocals are even more powerful than bands such as Wild Paintings. Excellent songwriting throughout. I was really surprised mainly by the sharp guitar playing of Jessica in every single song. Melodic but also very rythmic, catchy yet not obvious. Most of the songs here are excellent, including the title track, the electrifying "Lights Out" and the spacious "Hurricane". This is absolutely stunning. Easily the greatest work by the already phenomenal band. The writing for this record hits you-hard. It’s all so true to this weird psychotic time we are all living. For me-this is going to be one of my albums of the year. Bravo.
A really pleasant listen that at times can be deeply emotional in sound.
